Australian Opal Ring in Gold | Build Your Own

Size Guide
  • Meet

She’s like quicksand, baby. Earthy and gritty, and twisting with an unpredictable mood. If you gaze closely, you’ll see it – the eye of her storm, swirling with wildness but laced with brittle splinters.

Opal glow. Diamond sparkle. They're the perfect co-stars in this headliner of a ring.

All our freeform opals are solid and precious opals from Australia.

AO1 to AO22 come from Lightning Ridge and Cooper Pedy in Australia. The miners follow strict Australian environmental regulations when it comes to mining. They were then polished in New York by an American geology student.

If you need a different size, you can pick your stone from the photos! You get to choose how you'd like your stone to be positioned (horizontally / east-west like in the original ring, or vertically / north-south instead), and what size you'd need.

      Our Australian solid opals:

      • AO1 - 2.11 ct, this one could just be a funny little clear stone with some blueish black smoke. But then it catches the light at a different angle and suddenly the stone is full of electric blue and purple lightning. Measures 12 x 9.1 x 3.2 mm
      • AO2 - 2.60 ct, a fat pear shaped opal with a black center, some rough on the side. Measures 10.5 x 8.7 x 4.4 mm
      • AO3 - 1.79 ct, opaque white opal with red, green, blue and yellow. Measures 10.5 x 8.6 x 3.6 mm
      • AO4 - 1.36 ct, a nice mixture of rough stone and rainbow madness. Measures 11 x 7.6 x 2.5 mm
      • AO5 - 1.60 ct, rectangular shaped crystal opal with visible sand and sandstone back (but still solid opal). Nice play of color with mostly green, some purple, but also yellow and even some orange on the side. Measures 9.5 x 7.0 x 3.6 mm
      • AO6 - 1.05 ct oval black opal, with a dull black patch, an eye and the most intense blue, green and purple colors. Measures 10.5 x 7.0 x 2.4 mm
      • AO7 - 0.99 ct oval black opal, with a dull grey center with a black eye, dark blue and lively greens. Visible pit on top and also some pitting at the back, which will be covered in a bezel setting. Measures 10.5 x 7.0 x 2.2 mm
      • AO8 - 1.00 ct oval blue opal with some dull grayish blue at one end, lively greens in the center and a bit of sand on the other end, measures 10.6 x 6.2 x 2.5 mm
      • AO9 - 0.80 ct mostly blue and green crystal opal with some sandstone (potch) at the back that's visible because of the translucency of the stone. Measures 11 x 6.2 x 2.0 mm

      • AO16 - 0.46 ct this little triangle is a special one! A grey opal with lots of color, mostly orange and red, but also yellow, green, violet and blue. I can see a heart bursting with color. Some sandstone, measures 6.0 x 6.0 x 2.3 mm

beautiful garnet and blue sapphire ring

I love the design of this ring having the cushion cut garnet offset by the smaller baguette cut sapphire, and I am always partial to the rectangular shaped gemstones and red-blue color combinations. The wine color of the garnet looks so rich next to the bright blue sapphire. The sterling silver metalwork is impeccable with comfortable half-round band, and even bezels, uniform open rectangles in back of the gemstones to allow light through and accentuate the luminosity of the garnet and sapphire. Meri and every single member of the Gardens of the Sun team always perform with excellence in every step of the artistic process in skillfully creating a very special and electrifying experience and producing the highest quality jewelry.

      little gumdrops from heaven <3

This is the second pair I've owned and I absolutely love them! The first pair were a gift bc she knows I'm obsessed with all things green ESPECIALLY Chrysoprase. I wore them all the time!!! Sadly, I misplaced them but decided I couldn't live without them so I ordered my second pair. I ordered them and received them within a week and they were just as beautiful as I remembered. The green glows so beautifully I can't get enough. I highly recommend them!

      Just perfect!

Received the aquamarine and ruby ring in about four days from ordering! From the beautiful packaging to the story of the gem... I couldn’t be more pleased with this purchase. It’s perfect because my husband’s birth stone is aquamarine and mine is ruby-symbolic of us! Thank you so much
